Colorium Lab runs on modern iOS and Android smartphones and tablets. We target current OS releases on both platforms.

Core capture and color analysis work offline. Internet is needed for sign-in (Google/Apple), optional color name lookups, and diagnostics (analytics/crash/performance). There is no automatic cloud sync yet.

No, images are processed on-device and stored locally by default. If you export/share a PDF report, a temporary file is created for sharing. We never send your raw images to third-party services.

If you sign in: email/display name/provider info via Firebase Auth. For calibration/diagnostics: device model/OS/hardware info, and non-GPS EXIF fields (e.g., exposure, ISO) from selected images. We also collect anonymized analytics, crash, and performance data via Firebase. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Camera (capture for analysis), Photos/Media/Library (select/save images), Storage on Android (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES/READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE for file access), and Network (sign-in, analytics, color name lookups). A microphone usage string exists on iOS, but current features do not record audio.

For best accuracy, use the built-in 5-step calibration with a Macbeth ColorChecker (or equivalent) under consistent lighting. Recalibrate when lighting changes.

Yes. You can generate and share a PDF calibration/analysis report using the system share sheet. Temporary files are created locally for sharing and can be removed.

Yes, guest mode works for capture and analysis with some gated features. Signing in with Google or Apple may unlock additional features now or in future updates.

Local data (samples, projects, calibration profiles) is stored on-device (Hive/shared preferences) within the OS sandbox and protected by device security. Network traffic (auth/analytics/lookups) uses TLS. We do not claim end‑to‑end encryption of your local content.
